What jobs do you do?
A–Z handles property repairs, fitting, suitable like-for-like replacements and well-defined small improvements: doors, kitchens, bathrooms, minor accessible plumbing, carpentry, furniture assembly, fencing, gates, brickwork, patios, straightforward gutter work and mixed job lists.
How much is a visit?
The professional maintenance visit costs £70 for the first hour. Additional time is £35 per 30 minutes. Materials are additional. A–Z is not VAT registered, so VAT is not added.
Can I ask about one small job?
Yes. The first-hour minimum still applies, so it can be useful to add any other suitable jobs around the property.
Can you do several jobs during one visit?
Yes. Send the whole list and mark the priorities. A–Z will work through as much as is reasonably possible.
Can I send photos on WhatsApp?
Yes. Open the A–Z WhatsApp chat, add a wider view and a close-up of the problem, then send the postcode and any useful product details.
Do you bring materials?
Material needs can often be discussed from photos or after assessment. Materials are charged separately.
Can you clear or repair gutters?
Straightforward gutter clearing and suitable accessible local repairs may be possible once the condition and access have been assessed. Roofing, high-risk access and substantial rainwater-system work need the appropriate specialist.
Do you undertake plumbing work?
Suitable straightforward work can include taps, toilet mechanisms, waste fittings and minor accessible leaks within competence.
Do you undertake electrical work?
Some straightforward household replacement and fitting jobs may be possible where appropriate. Work needing specialist certification should be undertaken by a qualified electrician.
Do you undertake gas work?
No. A–Z does not undertake gas work. Work involving gas must go to a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Can I arrange work for Mum or Dad?
Yes. A relative can arrange the appointment, provide the list and remain the main contact.
What areas do you cover?
A–Z is based in LE3 and typically covers Leicester and surrounding Leicestershire areas within around 12 miles. Larger jobs and planned work slightly farther away may be considered by arrangement.
Do you quote planned or larger work?
Yes. Work needing measurement, sourcing, several stages or a return visit can be assessed and quoted separately.
