Property-maintenance tradesman arriving at a British home

Broad help, properly organised

A sticking door, a new shelf to fit and a loose patio slab might sound like three different calls. A–Z is built for that kind of mixed list: one clear appointment for repair, replacement, installation and making good.

  • Doors, kitchens and bathrooms
  • Minor accessible plumbing
  • Shelves, cabinets, furniture and storage
  • Fencing, brickwork, gutters and patio work
A practical home-maintenance list with tools and small fittings
A mixed job list can be planned before the visit, helping the right tools and likely materials arrive together.

Not everything has to be broken

Bought a mirror, flat-pack cabinet or replacement fitting? Planning one useful kitchen, bathroom or storage addition? Send the item details and proposed position so suitability, access and likely fixings can be considered.

For homes, rentals and local premises

Homeowners can ask about one task or a mixed list. Landlords and letting agents gain one practical contact for repairs, replacement fittings and pre-let additions. Smaller organisations can arrange everyday premises maintenance, assembly and fitting without managing a facilities department.

Clear limits are part of a professional service

A–Z does not undertake gas work. Straightforward household electrical replacement or fitting may be possible where appropriate, but work requiring specialist certification belongs with a qualified electrician.

Typical jobs

A genuinely useful range of repairs, fitting and improvements.

An all-round maintenance visit can mix repair, replacement, installation, furniture assembly and practical improvements. The jobs do not all have to belong to one trade.

A sticking door, failed cupboard hinge and suitable replacement fitting dealt with in priority order.

Fit and finish

Shelves, furniture assembly, curtain fittings and local making good grouped together.

Questions about this service

How much does a maintenance visit cost?

A standard maintenance visit costs £70 for the first hour. Additional time is £35 per 30 minutes. Materials are additional, and larger work is quoted separately.

Can I combine repairs with new fitting work?

Yes. Send the complete list, including product links or photos for anything new, and A–Z will plan as much suitable work as reasonably possible for the visit.

Do you undertake gas work?

No. A–Z does not undertake gas work. If a repair needs a Gas Safe registered engineer, we will tell you clearly.

Arrange a visit

Got something that needs sorting?

Send a few useful photos or call Jamie. If the job suits a maintenance visit, the scope, price basis and timing will be confirmed directly; quote-led work is explained before anything is agreed.
