Plan the room before choosing the installation date
Send photos of the whole bathroom, its current fittings and any visible pipework, together with approximate dimensions and product links. Replacing fittings in the existing positions differs from moving the layout. Access, ventilation, drainage, supporting surfaces and the condition behind old finishes all need consideration before the installation is quoted.
Suite fitting, storage and practical finishing
The agreed work can include baths, basins, toilets, shower fittings and screens, vanity units, mirrored cabinets and accessories. Wall and floor tiling, suitable wall finishes, sealant and making good can be included where specified. Each quotation identifies the actual products, preparation and finish rather than promising every possible bathroom service in one package.
- Bathroom suites and replacement fittings
- Vanity units, storage and screens
- Agreed wall and floor preparation and tiling
- Sealing, trims and defined finishing work
A clear route for landlords and letting agents
A damaged or dated bathroom may need replacement rather than another small repair. Jamie welcomes planned bathroom and cloakroom fitting enquiries for rental properties. Explain the existing condition, preferred products, access arrangements and tenancy dates so the work can be assessed as a project with a written price and agreed programme.
Appropriate specialists, agreed responsibility
Where electrical changes, heating connections or other specialist elements are needed, Jamie brings in suitably qualified tradespeople and agrees their involvement before work starts. Gas work is not carried out by Jamie. Necessary checks and approvals are considered for the actual installation; a new room or changed layout should not be assumed equivalent to a like-for-like repair.
Know what is included in the project quote
The quotation distinguishes installation labour, supplied products, disposal, specialist services and finishing. It also identifies any exclusions and agreed payment stages. Unexpected hidden conditions are explained before additional chargeable work is authorised. The maintenance hourly rate does not serve as the price for a full bathroom installation.
